Best Oldies Channel is unlike any internet station I know of. It's a music station (we play the "Best of the 60's, 70's & 80's...with a Taste of the 50’s") that was born and lives in our RV! It began with the purchase of a music scheduling software program because I wanted a way to mix our music instead of merely sounding like a jukebox. From there I wanted to share it with our friends. Coming from a 30-year career in radio as both an on-air personality and program director, I decided to add some liners, basically for the fun of it. We are South Dakota residents, but spend the winters in Las Vegas which gave me the idea to do an actual radio station. With 36 million annual visitors to Las Vegas, and a very competitive hospitality industry, it made sense to me that the hotels in Las Vegas might consider buying ad schedules, if my little station had a big enough audience. And since it can be heard anywhere in the world with a simple internet connection via a cell phone, PC, Mac, laptop, iPad or Tablet, the audience size could be astronomical. We bought enough bandwidth to support 999,999 listeners at the same time, and that's where we are today...working hard to grow our audience.
